Treadmills

Oiling
Solvent-free lubrication is done with a solvent-free lubricant. The lubricant should be 100% silicone oil, a small bottle of oil is supplied with the machine.
The easiest way to check the need for treadmill lubrication is simply to test by placing your hand between the treadmill and its base. If the hand feels dry after the test, the treadmill should be lubricated. If, on the other hand, the hand feels oily and wet, there is no need to add lubricant at this stage.
A suitable amount of lubricant should be applied to the centre of the treadmill (both horizontally and vertically) directly from the bottle under the mat.
Once the lubricant is under the carpet, place the carpet on top and allow the carpet to roll around either empty for about 10 minutes at walking speed (4-8 km/h) or walk on the carpet (this spreads the lubricant slightly faster) for about 5 minutes.

The treadmill slows down or stops
A non-running surface, i.e. a moving part of the carpet, can sometimes start to slip, i.e. when walking or running it slows down or even stops completely for a while. If the machine is used within the weight limit, the slipping is usually caused by insufficient or excessive lubrication or by the need to tighten the carpet part.
